ABOUT THE CARE ADVICE CENTRE

The Care Advice Centre offers an independent, flexible, tailor-made approach to care planning without the time, eligibility and budgetary constraints associated with local authorities. By working closely with individuals, their family and carers, the Care Advice Centre can support them through an often difficult transition.

When considering care options, whether it's care in one’s own home, respite, residential or nursing care, or care in sheltered housing, it is vital that people are able to access high quality information and advice. For those funding their own care, this is even more important, as this is the group that is often left to fend for itself.

The Care Advice Centre has excellent connections with:

  • Local Authorities
  • Clinical Commissioning Groups
  • Care Agencies
  • Care homes
  • Hospitals
  • Voluntary organisations
  • Solicitors
  • Care fee planning specialists
  • Independent Financial Advisors
  • Funeral Planners

MEET THE TEAM

Aleisha White

Aleisha founded the Care Advice Centre in 2011, after becoming disillusioned with the support social services could offer individuals and families. Aleisha, is a member of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW), an affiliate member of the Society of Later Life Advisors (SOLLA) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

From working in Local Authority and NHS settings, Aleisha has gained a comprehensive understanding of the complex assessment processes.

Aleisha has helped many people with their claims for NHS continuing healthcare funding, during initial assessment through to a decision.  Retrospective appeals have been extremely successful and should always be considered.

Anna Callow

Anna graduated in 2006 with a Masters in Social Work.  Since that time she has worked within Local Authority's Adult Social Care departments, progressing to Senior Practitioner.  Anna is now an Independent Social Worker at the Care Advice Centre.  Anna has a particular interest in dementia and supporting clients and families in this area.  Anna is registered with HCPC, a member of BASW and an affiliated member of SOLLA.
